There’s a serious imbalance in supply and demand of chips in the IT sector globally, Samsung's co-chief executive and mobile chief, Koh Dong-jin, said at a shareholder meeting."It is hard to say the shortage issue has been solved 100%."Samsung was working with overseas partners to meet demand, he added.Quilter Cheviot research analyst Ben Barringer said: "Growing trade tensions between the US and China put the semiconductor industry in uncertainty, even before the pandemic"

 Last month's closure of its chip-fabrication plant by adverse weather conditions in Texas had exacerbated Samsung's problems.Taiwanese research firm TrendForce estimated the shutdown could reduce global smartphone production by 5% in the second quarter of this year.

  Haji biryani (also known as Hajir biryani) is one of the oldest restaurants in the heart of Old Dhaka Bangladesh, selling chevon biryani (dish made with highly seasoned rice and goat's meat). After Haji Mohammad Hossain died in 1992, his son, Haji Mohammad Golam Hossain took over and continued the family business without making any changes in style and tradition. By the passage of time Haji Mohammad Golam became tired by running the family business and finally handed over the business to his son, Haji Mohammad Shahed.

Denver engine failure

  Boeing 777s have been grounded around the world after the US aviation regulator announced an investigation into the United Airlines flight that suffered an engine failure on Saturday, showering debris over homes in Denver. The aircraft’s manufacturer recommended the grounding of all 777s using the same Pratt and Whitney 4000 engines, which includes scores operating across the US, Japan and South Korea. United had already announced that it would voluntarily and temporarily remove 24 of its planes from active service while investigations are carried out.  A Japanese transport ministry statement noted that on 4 December 2020, a JAL flight from Naha Airport in Japan to Tokyo International Airport returned due to a malfunction in the left engine. The Boeing 777 plane in that case was similar to the 26-year-old aircraft involved in the new United Airlines incident.
